La Masia Casanova ***La Masia Casanova, built in 1842 was originally a beautiful winery, today it is luxurious guesthouse hotel, spectacularly situated against a mountainside in the middle of the Penedès wine region. The `Masia` radiates the rustic, peaceful and relaxing ambiance of yesteryear. However, within its walls are all the comforts and luxuries that you could wish for. Above all it is located just 10 minutes from lively Sitges, the fashionable beach resort that is "the place to be". A complimentary continental breakfast is served from 9:30-12:00. There is an honesty bar where you can serve yourself 24 hours and each room has a mini-bar as well. Lunch is served from 14:00-16:00. 3 course evening are available Please notify the guesthouse when booking if you would like to have dinner on the day of arrival. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: Children cannot be accommodated at the hotel. Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1. There is no capacity for cots in the room. By Car (from Barcelona Airport): - Take the C-32 road and follow the signs to Tarragona and Sitges. - After passing through a number of tunnels and a toll station, continue past the first 2 exits for Sitges and take exit 28 marked Sant Pere de Ribes. - On the turn off you will come to a small roundabout, take the first exit going towards Vilafranca del Penedè’s (C15-B). - Follow the road for 6 km through a small tunnel and round some winding bends, past Restaurant Carnivor until you reach the signs for Can Roco and Las Americas. - Take that left and continue over a small roundabout and up the hill until you reach the T-junction. - Go left and then first right and follow the road up the hill to your right. You will then face a long dark concrete road in front of you or a sharp right bend. - Go straight up the dark hill. When you get to the top, there is another steep hill in front of you. Head up this hill and follow it around the bend. Be aware that it gets a little bumpy here. - Follow the road round to the right for about 100 metres then take the first left up another steep hill. This is a private road up to the Masia. For anyone coming by car or taxi, it is advisable to print out these directions and the map. It really does help you find the hotel, as it is tucked away on top of the mountain. By Taxi: The hotel advises you to print the Spanish travel information for the taxi driver if you are going to take a taxi. La Masia Casanova is located just 10 km from the bustling social and beach life of Sitges. It is recommendable to come by car, in order to explore the nature reserves, countless old villages, the famous monastery at Montserrat, not to mention Barcelona which lies 40 km to the North. Beyond Sitges, in the hills of the Penedès wine region, there are many excellent restaurants which will welcome you for lunch or an evening meal. Total number of rooms: 6 |
