Upstalsboom Seehotel ***The Upstalsboom Seehotel is peacefully and centrally located opposite the new lighthouse, close to the pedestrian area and the beach (approximately 200 metres). Please take note of our packages which are available for minimum stays of 5 and 7 nights. NB: During peak season (1st July - 2nd September 2007) a minimum stay of 7 nights is usually required. Whether you wish to savour our local fish specialities in our non-smoking restaurant or fancy a cappuccino in our lounge after an eventful boat trip, the guest is still king at the Seehotel. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 26.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included. EUR 2.70 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. Internet: Wired internet is available in public areas and is free of charge. Meal Plan: Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. Parking: Free Public parking is possible at a location nearby. Pets: Pets are allowed on request. No extra charges. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival. To reach Emden: - Take the A31 and pass through Rheine and Leer or take the A28 and the A31 passing through Oldenburg and Leer - From Borkumkai the ferry "AG Ems" takes you to the island of Borkum in approximately 2 hours, or the fast boat "Katamaran" can take you there in 1 hour To reach Eemshaven: - Take the A3, A 50 and A28 from Arnheim and pass through Zwolle and Groningen, and continue on the N28 and N46 to Eemshaven - From Borkumlijn-Hafen you can take the ferry "AG Ems" (approx. 1 hour) to Borkum. Parking places are available on the mainland in secure car parks and garages.
