The walls of Cons Traditional Irish bar are covered with memorablia and pictures of some of it’s the towns most famous sporting faces including Moss Keane, Mick Galwey, Mick Doyle and Charlie Nelligan to name but a few. By Car (from Kerry Airport): - Approximate driving time is 10 minutes and distance is 9 km (5.4 miles). - Upon exiting the airport, turn right at the junction and head for Castleisland town centre. Situated in the valley of River Maine, Castleisland is a mere 6 miles from Farranfore Airport and a 10-minute drive to Killarney. This lively town bustles with activity, especially during the 2 annual festivals – The Kerry drama festival in March and the Padraig O’Keefe Festival in September. Castleisland Golf Course, built on 200 acres of parkland, is a new addition to the area and is open all year round.
