This historic 16th-century coaching inn has modernised rooms, homemade food and free Wi-Fi. Congleton is about 6 miles (9.7 km) east of the M6.

Lion and Swan still has many of its original features and a sense of history runs throughout the building and the en suite rooms.

The restaurant serves fresh cuisine and Cheshire produce. The fine produce and meat are sourced locally and are elegantly prepared.

Manchester International Airport, Liverpool, Birmingham, Chester, Warrington, Stoke-on-Trent, Crewe and Macclesfield are within an hour’s drive of Congleton.

Breakfast is served from 07:00 until 09:00 on weekdays, and from 08:00 until 10:00 at weekends. Lunch is served from 11:30 until 15:00. Dinner is served from 18:00 until 21:00.
