Gangehi Island Resort *****Located in the northern part of Ari Atoll, Gangehi Island Resort features a diving school, a spa, and a beautiful white sandy beach. It offers rooms situated over water, on the beach, or within tropical gardens. Plenty of water activities await guests. Snorkelling and fishing trips can be arranged, while canoes are available for guests` use. The resort also offers open-air yoga sessions and nightly movie screenings. Other facilities include a well-equipped gym, a beach volleyball court, and a library with books and DVDs. Featuring spacious verandas, the rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with a ceiling fan, a fridge, and a safety deposit box. Bathrooms offer hot and cold showers. Gangehi Island Resort is about 25 minutes from Male International Airport by sea plane. It is a 15-minute boat ride from Gagehi Kandu, a spectacular diving spot. Veli Restaurant serves buffets with international cuisines, including Italian and Asian dishes. Offering panoramic views of the sea, the bar offers cocktails and nightly live music. Please note that guests must advise arrival and departure flight details at the time of booking, at least 3 days before arrival so the resort can arrange a sea plane transfer and secure seats. To reach the resort, a shared seaplane transfer will be booked after receiving full names and international flight details. The hotel’s airport representative will meet the guests at the airport arrival hall. Seaplane transfers only fly in daylight hours. • If flight arrives before 15:30 a transfer to the hotel will be arranged same day. • If flight arrives after 15:30, guests need to make arrangements to stay in Malé overnight (at their own cost) • If flight departs Malé before 09:30, guests may have to check-out a day prior and stay overnight close to the airport to catch onward flight. Baggage allowance is 20 kg and 5 kg hand luggage per person, excess baggage is chargeable and must be paid directly to Sea Plane Company. A single luggage exceeding 20 kg will not be accepted. Sea plane transfer rates are not included in the room rate and are to be paid directly to the hotel. The cost of a 1-way seaplane transfer will be charged for any cancellation which occurs 13 days before arrival.
