Dating back to the 16th century, the George houses 6 comfortable en suite rooms above a renowned pub; an entry for the Good Beer Guide 2009, it serves a range of cask ales and a varied pub menu. Food is served between 12.00 and 21.00.

Listed in the Good Beer Guide 2009, the hotel has a Cask Marque award for serving quality cask ales. The authentic real ales are on offer along with lagers, mild, cider and stout. A good wine list is also available, with a fine selection of bottled beers, ciders and soft drinks also on offer.
