The Manor House Hotel & Restaurant **This late Victorian country house hotel is set amid open countryside in 3 acres of gardens. The 7 spacious bedrooms have been attractively decorated, thoughtfully equipped and all have glorious views. You can relax in the inviting drawing room before treating yourself to a fine meal in one of the 2 rosette awarded restaurants. After your meal, why not relax with your coffee and after dinner drinks on the terrace, or stroll round the beautiful gardens. 2-time winner of the RAC Small Hotel of the North award, the Manor House has ample free parking and is within easy driving distance of Beverley and York. Weddings, conferences and functions can all be accommodated. Breakfast is served from 07:30 until 09:30. Lunch is served from 12:00 until 14:00. Dinner is served from 18:30 until 21:15. Reservations must be cancelled one day in advance of your arrival date. In the event of a no show or a cancellation in breach of this policy, the cost of the entire reservation will be charged. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival. Children can stay in the same room as 2 adults by means of an extra bed, which can be added for 30 GBP, per night. By car: From Hull - Take the A1079 Beverley/York Road towards York. - At the end of the Beverley bypass take the 1st exit off the roundabout towards Walkington. - Continue until you reach a minor crossroads and turn right. - Notice the brown hotel sign: you will find The Manor House 350 metres on your left. From York - Take the A1079 Beverley Road to Bishop Burton. - Drive through the village, passing the pond on your right, and turn right at the first minor crossroads. - Notice the brown hotel sign: continue for approximately 1.5 km to a T-junction. - Turn left at the junction and The Manor House entrance is just under 30 metres on your right. From Lincoln - Cross the Humber Bridge and at the 1st major roundabout take the A164 Willerby Road to Beverley. - Follow the A164 for approximately 11 km, continuing straight across 4 roundabouts. - Having past Skidby Windmill on your left at the last roundabout, the turning to Walkington is 1.5 km on the left. - Follow the winding road to Walkington for about 3 km until you reach a set of traffic lights. - Notice the brown hotel sign: at the 1st minor crossroads turn left again. - Notice a 2nd brown hotel sign: continue for another 400 metres and The Manor House is on the left. Parking: Free off-road parking is available on-site. Beverley & East Riding Golf Club (1.5 km) - 18 holes of varying difficulty set on undulating pasture land. Beverley Racecourse (3.5 km) - Offering flat racing and modern facilities, set on the historic Westwood. Beverley Minster (4 km) - dating back to medieval times, this is widely considered to be the most architecturally impressive church that is not officially classified as a cathedral.
