This historic, Grade II listed building is home to the conveniently situated Stone Court hotel and its popular restaurant.

A short walk from the city centre, this Tudor hotel was converted in 1716 to serve as a residence for crown court judges. Re-trace their steps by relaxing in the comfortable rooms, and sipping port amid the oak beams and wood-panelling of the lounge bar. You can even add to the authenticity of the experience by booking a room with a four-poster bed. With a restaurant on-site, this is also an ideal place for conferences, weddings and other functions - a unique solution to any occasion.

By car (from M25):
- Leave the M25 via the M26 to Maidstone.
- Continue through to the M20.
- Exit at Junction 6.
- Continue onto the A229 towards Hastings. Proceed onto the dual carriageway which will lead you to this brings you to Palace Avenue.
- Continue along Palace Avenue (passing the Police Station).
- 20 metres from the police station is a white & red barrier.
- Go through the automatic barrier. After driving through the first car park, you will find the hotel`s car park (signposted at the top).

By train (from Maidstone West Station, 900 m):
- Leave the station and turn right, in the direction of High St.
- Just before High St, turn right into Bishop Palace Avenue.
- Turn right at the end onto Lower Stone St. The hotel will be on your right.

By bus (from Maidstone bus station, 100 m):
- Do not exit through the shopping centre. Instead, follow the road out onto Lower Stone St. The hotel is across the road.

Maidstone Museum & Bentlif Art Gallery (650 m) - Arguably Kent`s finest museum, housing an abundance of art and artefacts from a wide variety of periods and regions.

Leeds Castle (10 km) - This striking 12th century castle and its idyllic grounds are now a popular leisure destination. The castle has an aviary, a maze, grotto, golf course and museum.

Charles Dickens Centre (13 km) - Housed in Eastgate House, Rochester, where Dickens wrote a number of his novels. The centre uses audio-visual technology to recount the author`s life and works.
