To the right, a short walk and visible from the hotel is `Porth Beach`, with its flat protected waters it is ideal for swimming and first attempts at surfing. To the left, a short journey by car or pleasant walk is `Watergate Bay`, one of the surf centres of Europe, with its golden sands and magnificent waves.
