The hotel is located barely a mile from the city centre, opposite Derby County Football Club and very close to the mainline railway station giving easy access both to the city and the surrounding countryside. Derby and the surrounding area has a wealth of attractions to offer, with a rich industrial and cultural history and shopping and sporting venues. These include Derby Racecourse, Derbyshire and Trent Bridge cricket grounds, Donnington Park (car racing) and golf courses. The beautiful Peak District National Park is within a short driving distance away, with its ever changing scenery, sheltered villages and the bleak peaks towering over them. A little further afield you can retrace Robin Hood`s footsteps in Sherwood Forest. The city of Nottingham is also within easy driving distance and offers fabulous shops and museums.
