Alma Inn ***

The postal address hints at the fact that this beautiful old stone building is set high up in the hills above Sowerby. The Alma stands alone at a small road junction, where a nearby old style K6 Red Phone Box stands guard over the Pub.

A lovely darkened stone façade fits well into the stunning countryside in this area of Yorkshire. Inside, the bar is in front of you as you enter. Sympathetically opened out to allow better access, it still retains that Country Pub feel. Stone flagged floors & a real fire complete the scene. Outside, the Alma has a stunning view of the Calder Dale valley. As such, the stone flagged terrace is a popular place to watch the sun go down in the summer with a pint of real ale in hand. The Pub can get very busy outside at popular times - especially on warm Summer nights.

Children older than 12 year are considered adult for room occupancy.
Children no older than 5 year can stay for free.

Breakfast is served from 07:30 until 11:00.
Lunch is served from 12:00 until 18:00.
Dinner is served from 18:00 until 22:30.
Price of Full English Breakfast (if not included in Price of Room): 8.50 GBP.

Reservations must be cancelled 7 days in advance of your arrival date.
In the event of a no show or a cancellation in breach of this policy, the cost of the entire reservation will be charged.
The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.

A 25% deposit will be required upon booking.

Off of the a58 between Sowerby Bridge and Ripponden, turn behind the Triangle Inn at Triangle, following signs for Cotton Stones (1 mile)and Millbank. At the Millbank Pub, bear right and follow the road to the top where The Alma Inn is situated on top of the hill.
