Many notable attractions such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and the lovely market town of Bakewell are only a short drive away. There are also landmarks like the dramatic grit stone edges at Froggatt, Curbar and Stanage and the Blue John caverns at Castleton within easy reach. The twin dams on the Derwent/Ladybower Reservoirs - famously used during training for the WW2 Dambusters` Raids - are nearby. Chatsworth House - the Palace of the Peaks is home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and is widely regarded as one of Britain`s best loved historic houses and estates.
