Minotel Ganet Sinai ***Hidden in the vast desert and majestic mountains of the Sinai, the Minotel Ganet Sinai Dahab lies at the shores of the Red Sea, on the Gulf of Aqaba. The Resort is located on a stretch of fine sandy beach with breathtaking views over the bay. Minotel offers free accommodation and breakfast for 1 child under 12 years old when sharing a room with 2 adults; other meals are to be paid at the hotel directly. In such a case, the client shall book a double or twin room and add a comment in the "comment box" for an extra bed for a child under 12, and not book a triple room. Two children under 12 travelling with adults (no matter if the adults are staying in a single, double or triple room) will be accommodated in a twin room and pay the price of a double room for single occupancy. If the booking is cancelled more than 2 days before the day of arrival, no charge applies. If the booking is cancelled from 2 days before the day of arrival on, the charge will be 100% of the whole stay. In case you would not arrive at the hotel, the charge will be 100% of the whole stay. Dahab-Terminal Coach Station is 2 km away from the airport. Coming from the airport, travellers with a European or American passport can obtain a tourism visa for the Sinaï (valid for a maximum of 14 days). For all other nationalities and for those who wish to leave the Sinaï (maybe for a trip to Cairo, the Pyramids or to Hurgada), they must apply for a visa at the Egyptian embassies. By Shuttle Bus (from Ophira International Airport): - From the airport, shuttle buses run to Dahab and cost around EUR 10. - A taxi will cost EUR 60. The rate can be negotiated but make sure you set a price before leaving. By Bus (from Taba International Airport): - The airport is North of Dahab and close to the Israeli border. - It is a 2-hour journey by bus to the hotel. From Cairo International Airport: - The airport is located 650 km away from Dahab. - The journey will take approximately 6 hours by car and at least 8 hours by coach. Dahab synonym of "gold" in Arabic, is a paradise for surfers and divers, but also the starting point for unforgettable excursions into the timeless settings of the Sinai peninsula.
