Alitania Apartments Potsdamer Platz ****Situated at Potsdamer Platz, right in the heart of the metropolis of Berlin, these prestigious, comfortable apartments are stylishly furnished and range from cosy 2-roomed studios to spacious 4-roomed suites. The Alitania Apartments are fully equipped and tastefully decorated in different styles, from classic to modern, providing a flexible, independent alternative to conventional hotels. The experienced, multi-lingual apartment staff will do their best to make you feel at home. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled or modified up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival. It takes 25 minutes in a taxi to reach the apartments from Tegel Airport. If using public transport it should take around 45 minutes: take the X9 bus to Zoologischer Garten and from there take the U2 line of the U-Bahn (underground) towards Pankow and exit at Potsdamer Platz. From Schönefeld Airport it takes 45 minutes to reach the apartments by taxi. It takes about the same amount of time with public transport: take the airport express train from Schönefeld to Alexanderplatz. From there take the U2 line of the U-Bahn (underground) towards Ruhleben and exit at Potsdamer Platz. From Hauptbahnhof (the main train station in Berlin), it should take around 10 minutes in a taxi or 10 minutes on the M41 bus in the direction of Sonnenallee/ Baumschulenstrasse. Potsdamer Platz has its own atmosphere - a mixture of modern architecture, metropolitan living and Berlin history. You won’t struggle for entertainment here, what with the area’s wide choice of shops, restaurants, theatres, cinemas, casinos and nightclubs - all within a short walk. There are many specialist restaurants just round the corner in the huge shopping centre, Arkaden, or you could try the variety of restaurants in the near vicinity such as the Kaisersaal in the renowned Sony Centre. The fastest elevator in Europe belongs to the observation platform at Potsdamer Platz.
