The Hotel Post Klais is located between Garmisch-Patenkirchen and Mittenwald in Upper Bavaria at a height of 970 metres. In direct proximity, you will find the castles Elmau and Kranzbach. The hotel offers a central yet quiet location to revive from the everyday routine and stress.

Our kitchen staff has international experience and is led by the chef of the house offering regional cuisine from the Werdenfelser region. At our cosy restaurant we serve Bavarian dining culture – well prepared and light. Seasonal specialities round off the offer.

Arrival from direction Munich:

By train: Trains from Munich main station to Klais leave approx. every hour. Intercity trains from Hanover and Berlin stop in Klais.

By car: Motorway Munich to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, further towards direction Innsbruck (Austria). After about 12 km take exit Klais. The drive takes about 90 minutes from the airport (130 km), and 1 hour from Munich directly.

The capital of Bavaria, Munich, is only 80 km away. To Innsbruck it takes only 30 minutes via Seefeld / Tyrol.

In the summertime, you can enjoy various activities in and around Klais, for instance hiking tours, horse-carriage rides, mountain bike tours, golf, tennis or horseback riding – your choice!

Furthermore, this area is an excellent skiing region with loipes starting directly in Klais. The cross-country skiing loipes in Leutasch nearby or the hills of the Zugspitze and the Hausberg are excellent options for skiers and snowboard fans, too.
