The region offers walking and hiking opportunities and in the winter also Nordic skiing on the groomed tracks, as well as sledding and ice skating and skiing via the ski lift. There are numerous sports and leisure activities in the region. Interesting excursion options are Switzerland (Basel. Zurich), France (Strasbourg), Freiburg, Schluchsee, Titisee with all sports, Feldberg, Rhine falls at Schaffhausen and Lake Constance.
