Elmsdale Guesthouse [Apartments]Steve and Cathy welcome you to their warm, friendly guest house offering clean, quality accommodation all year round. The Elmsdale Guesthouse is less than an 800-metre level walk from the beach, and walking distance from the Riviera Centre and Torre Abbey. It is ideally located on a main road to the seafront and just a few minutes’ walk from Torquay rail station. You are invited to enjoy a hearty breakfast and home-baked bread in the lovely airy dining room with individual tables. If you have any special requirements please ask and your hosts will do their very best to meet them and provide you with a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Food is served in the lovely, airy dining room at individual tables. Choose from a wide range of cereals and/or a hearty full English breakfast, cooked freshly to order. The full traditional cooked breakfast features free-range eggs and locally sourced bacon and sausages. Lighter options are also available for those with a smaller appetite. There is also freshly baked toast and a range of jams and preserves available. To complement your choice of breakfast, you can have tea or coffee and fruit juices. Breakfast is served from 08:15 until 09:00. Earlier breakfasts (from 07:00) can happily be accommodated. Those with special dietary needs can be accommodated by prior request. Please contact the guest house in advance, in order to inform them of your requirements, using the contact details supplied on your confirmation email. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, the first night will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room. Deposit Policy: 100 percent of the first night will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable. VAT and city/tourist taxes: 15 % VAT is included. Service charge is not applicable. City/tourist tax is not applicable. Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge. Meal Plan: Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. Parking: Free public parking is possible on site. Pets: Pets are not allowed. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival. Please note we do not accept american express or diner cards. Also if your paying by credit card there is a 2.5 % charge incurred. Please be advised that we do not provide cots for extra children, these must be provided by you. Additionally, babies can only be accomodated for in the family room. By Train: The guest house is just a short walk from Torquay railway station. By Coach: The guest house is only about 10 minutes’ walk from the coach station. Wherever possible, guests can be collected, free of charge, from the railway or coach station, if requested in advance. Further details are available on request. Torquay is situated in the heart of South Devon, in the area known as the English Riviera, which offers something for everyone. Torquay`s waterfront is the place to be, enjoying a meal or a drink at one of the lovely harbour-side cafes and bars, or perhaps an ice cream looking out to sea over the beautiful international marina. The town also boasts a palm-lined promenade, the seafront gardens and the Princess Theatre with a great variety of shows. At night, when the sun goes down, the bay transforms into a wonderland of coloured lights. Torquay has everything, from nightclubs to cosy intimate restaurants. The area also offers a wealth of other night-time entertainments and activities, including a 9-screen multiplex cinema, 10-pin bowling and even a casino.
