Queens House Guest House [Apartments]

Queens House, formerly a 17th Century Coaching Inn, is situated opposite St. Mary`s Church in the heart of Bures. You can laze in our pretty walled garden or take one of the many Stour Valley walks.

Bures lies on either side of the River Stour, which forms the boarder between Suffolk and Essex. You will be ideally situated for exploring nearby towns of Bury St Edmund`s, Long Melford, Colchester, Lavenham and Sudbury. The house has large comfortable rooms, the bar has a large inglenook fireplace giving you a warm welcome on chilly evenings.

Breakfast is served from 07:30 until 09:30.
Dinner is served from 19:00 until 21:00.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.
In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children up to 1 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children up to 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged GBP 10 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.

Bures has a train station, which is served from Liverpool Street on the Ipswich/Colchester line, changing at Marks Tey for the Sudbury line. Bures is the second stop.
