An imposing manor house hotel originally built in 1870 as the home for a local businessman, It has been tastefully converted into one of the regions most popular hotels. Set in the foothills of the Peak District National Park but just a short drive from the main motorway network, it is the ideal base from which to travel on business or to explore the beauty of Yorkshire`s `Last of the Summer Wine Country` the hotel has been recently used as a location for the well known tv series `Where the Heart is`.

From the m1 take j35a and head onto the a629 until you pick the a616 which will take you into Holmfirth. From there turn left at the traffic lights in the town centre and the right up the hill signposted to Meltham. Turn right just past the Ford Inn and this road will take you into the centre of Meltham, where you must turn right towards Huddersfield. The hotel is situated just outside the village centre on the right hand side.
