Minotel Goldener Brunnen ***The Minotel "Goldener Brunnen" has a long history: Looking back on more than 400 years of tradition, we are committed to excellent quality, authenticity and utmost comfort. Although at the very heart of Gmunden, the hotel is set in a very quiet location at the banks of the Traun river. Minotel offers free accommodation and breakfast for 1 child under 12 years old when sharing a room with 2 adults; other meals are to be paid at the hotel directly. In such a case, the client shall book a double or twin room and add a comment in the "comment box" for an extra bed for a child under 12, and not book a triple room. Two children under 12 travelling with adults (no matter if the adults are staying in a single, double or triple room) will be accommodated in a twin room and pay the price of a double room for single occupancy. End an exciting day in our restaurant or our big terrace facing the Traun river, with local delicacies prepared by our chef or a good glass of wine or beer. If the booking is cancelled more than 2 days before the day of arrival, no charge applies. If the booking is cancelled from 2 days before the day of arrival on, the charge will be 100% of the whole stay. In case you would not arrive at the hotel, the charge will be 100% of the whole stay. Each started stay is entirely due to Minotel. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival. All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card. Rates are per room per night including continental breakfast and vat (and local taxes) at the current rate. Full payment will be taken by Minotel, using your selected payment, within 24 hours of booking. Only extra charges must be paid prior to departure from the Hotel. Cancellations: please cancel your reservation online. If your reservation is cancelled in line with Minotel policy - payment will be returned within 5 working days. To amend your reservation please cancel and rebook. Cancellation charges apply. To extend your stay, simply make a new booking for the additional night(s). Children under 12 years old stay free on the basis of one child per room sharing with two adult/s. Cots are available free of charge, subject to availability. Please enter requests for extra childbeds and/or cots, noting the age of the child, in the comments box when booking. Smoking and non-smoking rooms are available on request (note the comments box when booking). If you wish to travel with your pet, please check in advance with the hotel. Arrival by car on the A1 motorway: - Take exit number 224 for Regau/Gmunden. - Continue for about 7 km on the B145 Salzkammergut-Bundesstrasse . - In Gmunden, turn left into Bahnhofstrasse and continue until the post office. - Turn left and continue until a yellow house, the Josefsheim. - Follow now the signs to the free car park where you can leave your car. Arrival by train : On the Salzburg - Vienna line of the Austrian railway company (ÖBB), change in Attnang/Puchheim to the Salzkammergutbahn and continue to Gmunden. At Gmunden railway station, you might want to take a taxi. On foot, it is roughly 2 km to the hotel. Walk down Bahnhofstrasse and continue straight along Am Graben. Turn left into Theatergasse which runs parallel to the lake. Walk past the town hall and continue for about 300 metres, now on Kammerhofgasse. Turn left into Traungasse, before arriving at the bridge leading over the Traun river. The lively town of Gmunden became an officially recognized Spa Resort in 1862. Due to its idyllic location right on the shores of Traunsee Lake, embedded in a stunning mountain scenery, it makes a perfect place for rest and recreation for the whole family.
