Coming from Geneva/France: Take the highway A1, near Lausanne take the A9 heading to Grand St Bernard, Simplon, Vevey, Montreux. Continue on the A9 heading to Martigny then Sierre. Near Sierre, exit at Susten and take the national road 9 to Brig. Follow the indications to the train station; the Minotel Victoria is located in front of the Brig train station. Coming from Bern/Zurich: Take the highway A12 until near Saint-Legier where you will take the A9 heading to Grand St. Bernard, Simplon and then follow the instruction above. Another way is to take the A1 heading to Bern and Lausanne and to take the A6 around Bern. Near Spiez follow Interlaken with the A8 and exit at Spiez, Spiezwiler, Wimmis. Follow Kandersteg and put you car on the train to Goppenstein (be aware that this transportation is costly!). Discover the famous "Stockalper" castle with its museum, the Sebastian`s chapel, the old post office, picturesque patrician houses, narrow cobblestone alleys or renowned art galleries and speciality shops in Brig. Only 5 km west of Brig you will find the "Brigerbad", where you can relax in the steaming thermal sources. Enjoy the calm of the nearby hill "Brigerberg", a sunny terrace with aromatic mountain air where you can trek on the "Stockalperweg" or along the old water pipes. Take the train which will take you to Domodossola in half an hour, the nearest Italian town. When coming out of the tunnel, you will find yourself south of the Alps and experience the Italian flair.
