Tresa Bay Hotel ***The family-run Tresa Bay Hotel right on the banks of Lake Lugano is just 30 minutes by shuttle train away from the centre of Lugano. The shuttle train runs every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekends. Relax right on the shore of Lake Lugano, only 200 metres away from Ponte Tresa in Italy with its well-known Saturday market. By airplane: - Via Milano-Malpensa-Airport - Shuttlebus to Lugano SBB/CFF railway station (about 1 hour) - Then taxi or FLP-shuttle train to Ponte Tresa - Or via Lugano-Agno-Airport then taxi (10 minutes) to Ponte Tresa Ponte Tresa is an ideal starting point for many excursions, sports and leisure activities as well as for shopping. Within a 5-minute walk you reach the Italian border, where every Saturday a very well known market takes place and where shops are open also on Sunday morning.
