Yoro Waterfall The Yoro Waterfall (Yoro no taki):
This dynamic waterfall is 34 meters high and 4 meters wide. The legend tells the story of a poor woodcutter who stumbled upon a spring which turned out to be high quality sake or Japanese rice wine. The dutiful son filled his container with this "water" and brought it back to his father, who drank it and felt years younger. Empress Gensho heard this news and visited the site herself. She named the spring, "the spring of youth" and even changed the name of the year to Yoro
