This 17th-century Lakeland country home offers delicious cooking, cosy open fires, free Wi-Fi and a warm welcome, all in a peaceful setting just 5 minutes from local amenities.

Low House is located within a mile of Windermere and a few hundred metres from Windermere Golf Club. All the facilities of Windermere are 25 minutes’ walk away.

The house is filled with antiques, books and paintings, as well as modern, useful facilities. The bedrooms have king-size beds and Molton Brown toiletries.

Low House serves only the finest and freshest locally sourced food available. The delicious full English breakfasts include freshly squeezed orange juice and homemade bread and jam.

Round off your day with a traditional home-cooked evening meal, all freshly prepared and cooked in Low House. Menus available on request.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 10 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: Children older than 8 years are welcome.
All children from 8 to 14 years are charged GBP 30.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.
There is no capacity for cots in the room.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

-Take the M6.
- Exit at junction 36.
- Follow the dual carriageway until you reach the roundabout just outside Kendal, at this roundabout, take the first turn right towards (B5284) Crook.
- Follow this road for approximately 8 miles.
- On passing Windermere Golf Club on your right-hand side, take the next turn left (signposted Heathwaite); they hotel is further down on the right-hand side.

The Lake District became a National Park in 1951 and is the biggest in England and Wales. It has some of the most beautiful walks for all abilities, as well as museums, galleries, exhibitions, lake steamers, sports and shows, restaurants and tourist attractions of all descriptions. Another big attraction after the variety of its natural beauty is access; you are free to roam everywhere. Once you are above the field line, the scenery is all yours.
