This elegant 16th century Cotswold-stone coaching inn is surrounded by a tree-sheltered lawn and stands in its own paddock. A recently completed refurbishment programme has resulted in a stunning interior, entirely in keeping with the Grade II listed building. There are 5 stylish, spacious and beautifully appointed en suite rooms, each one with a generous, airy bathroom with totally modern facilities, including roll-top baths.

High-quality food is available 7 days a week and the inn’s impressive restaurant offers a mix of contemporary and traditional English cuisine, as well as great pub food.

The Horse & Groom Inn is situated in the village of Charlton just a few miles from junction 17 of the M4. Parking is plentiful. From junction 17, follow signs to Cirencester (A429), passing through Lower Stanton St Quintin, Corston and Malmesbury. Continue across the Priory roundabout onto the A429 sign posted Cirencester. At the next roundabout, take the 3rd exit sign posted Cricklade onto the Charlton Road (B4040). Pass through the village of Charlton and the Horse and Groom is on the left hand side as you are leaving the village.

Set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, on the edge of the glorious Cotswolds, The Horse & Groom only minutes away from junction 17 of the M4. The Roman towns of Bath and Cirecester are just half an hour away by car and boast numerous attractions, whereas Westonbirt and Abbey House Gardens are only a few minutes` drive.

You will still find the original fireplace and a wonderful flagstone floor in the much-loved Charlton Bar, whilst the dining room has a fabulous wooden floor, strewn with rugs, and adorned with solid oak tables and chairs.
