The Mug House Inn ****Nesting by the river Severn in the picturesque town of Bewdley, the 4-star Mug House Inn is thought to have been opened in the 17th Century and retains many period features. Each bedroom at the Mug House comes with an en suite bathroom, and many feature original beamed ceilings and walls. Rooms come with a TV and tea/coffee-making facilities, and some have their own DVD player. The inn has free Wi-Fi and the Angry Chef restaurant has an AA rosette. Guests can relax in the peaceful terrace area, while the bar offers real ales and hosts an annual beer festival. A 10-minute drive from Kidderminster, Bewdley is also within half an hour`s drive of Worcester. The Mug House serves Sunday lunch from the bar and restaurant from 12:00 till 17:00. There is no food service on Sunday nights On Saturdays and Sundays, breakfast is served from 09:00 till 10:30. A continental picnic basket breakfast is available for those that need to rise early. The Mug House Inn and Angry Chef Restaurant are found just off the A456 road from Kidderminster, which is just off the M5 motorway. By Car: - Take the A456 (signposted Leominster, Bewdley). - After about 1.5 miles, West Midlands Safari Park is on the left. - Continue forward onto Kidderminster Road (A456). - Enter Bewdley and at the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Kidderminster Road (B4190) signposted Bewdley town centre. - Bear right onto Stourport Road (signposted town centre). - Follow the road over the bridge and turn right immediately after the bridge in front of the Angel public house. - Turn right onto Severn Side North. We suggest this route as you can unload your luggage before continuing onto the public car park just 100 metres along the Riverside (we will give you directions). We have a limited amount of passes for free parking at this facility. By Train: Bewdley station on the Severn Valley Railway is a short walk away from The Mug House. The Mug House Inn offers the perfect platform for exhilarating walks along the river and to take in the views and wildlife of the area. Other attractions include the Severn Valley Railway, which continues to Kidderminster and Bridgnorth. Slightly further afield is the city of Worcester and the Malvern Hills.
