Positioned on the edge of a cliff, Acra-Retreat is situated on the border of the malaria-free Elands Krans Nature Reserve. It is a good stopover point between Johannesburg and the Kruger National Park. It features a seasonal outdoor pool and a children`s pool and barbecue facilities.

Horse riding, mountain climbing, abseiling and spa treatments can be arranged at the reception. The area abounds in birdlife, including species like owls, swallows and guinea fowls.

From Pretoria: Take the N4 direction Nelspruit. From Nelspruit: Take the N4 direction Machadodorp. After going through the tunnel turn left at the Waterval Boven exit.
