Velassaru Maldives offers luxurious beachfront and over-water accommodation with uninterrupted ocean views. It features a wide range of water and adventure sports, as well as sunset cruises and yoga classes.

Guests can enjoy relaxing spa treatments in over-water pavilions, or hop on a Maldivian boat and watch the crew demonstrate traditional fishing methods. Resort facilities include a fitness centre, tennis court and library. Internet access is free throughout the property.

Featuring wooden ceilings and floors for a tropical atmosphere, the bungalows and villas at Velassaru have air conditioning and ceiling fans. Each room is equipped with a flat-screen TV and DVD player. Some rooms also come with an iPod dock and Nespresso machine.

A wide variety of international specialities are prepared at Velassaru’s 5 restaurants, including Mediterranean, Japanese and Continental options. The 2 beach bars serve cocktails and wines. In-villa or private island dining can also be arranged.

Velassaru Maldives is a 25-minute speedboat ride from Malé International Airport.

There is a compulsory gala dinner on 24th and 31st December, 2013 included in the room rate for up to 2 guests. Any extra guests are charged separately and all charges are to be paid directly to Velassaru Maldives. Rates are as follows:

Please note that during the Festive Season from 23 December 2013 through to 10 January 2014, rates for extra guests will be charged at the following rates:

All Water Bungalows are closed for renovation from 10th May 2013 to 31st August 2013. Work will commence daily at 07:30 and in most cases be completed by 18:00. From time to time there may be a requirement to work later than 18:00, however, they will have a low noise impact.

Please note, guests must advise arrival and departure flight details at the time of booking, at least 72 hours prior to arrival.

The resort will arrange for a roundtrip 25-minute speed boat transfer to the resort from Malé International Airport. This additional cost is to be paid directly to the hotel and price excludes taxes. Two types of transfers are available:

A group transfer by return speedboat: USD 125 per adult and USD 62.50 per child.

A private transfer by speedboat, per way: USD 175 per adult and USD 87.50 per child.
