Alvia Hotel ****Perfectly positioned for all of the area’s main attractions, this recently refurbished Victorian building is situated in Kempton, one of the most attractive areas of Brighton. Only recently named as a city, this popular seaside resort has a lively marina and many attractions for both adults and children. The famous Arts Festival in May attracts some of the world`s finest performers and artists, but Brighton is bursting with theatrical and musical events all year round. The Alvia Hotel is ideally located just off the seafront, close to the centre of Brighton, with most of the major conference and meetings venues, including the city`s major convention centre - the Brighton Centre - only a short walk away. Breakfast is served each morning. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, the first night will be charged. If cancelled later, the total price of the reservation will be charged. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. Extra beds are not available. There is no capacity for cots in the room. Deposit Policy: 100 percent of the first night will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable. VAT and city/tourist taxes: 17.5 % VAT is included. Service charge is included. City/tourist tax is included. Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge. Meal Plan: Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. Continental breakfast is included in the room rate. Parking: Private parking is possible on site (reservation is needed) and costs GBP 10.00 per day. Pets: Pets are not allowed. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival. Please note: no stag, hen or group bookings are accepted. The hotel does not have a 24-hour reception; the latest check-in is 21:30. By Train: The hotel is approximately a 20-minute walk from Brighton train station. Taxis are also available at the station. By Coach: The hotel is approximately a 10-minute walk from Pool Valley coach station. By Car: - Take the A23 to Brighton. - Follow the signs for the sea-front and Brighton Pier. - When you reach the Pier roundabout, turn left onto Marine Parade. - Lower Rock Gardens is the 11th turning on the left, which leads on to Upper Rock gardens. - Cross the first set of traffic lights and you will find the hotel on the right-hand side. The Alvia Hotel`s off-street car parking facility gives you the freedom to enjoy the city without the stress of driving. Because the hotel does not have a 24-hour reception, once you have parked your car you cannot remove it until you departure. The Alvia Hotel is located within easy walking distance of central Brighton, the seafront, the Royal Pavilion and 2 historical piers. The 2 Brighton universities (University of Brighton and Sussex University), the teaching hospital and other local businesses are easily accessible by local transport, and the hotel is happy to arrange a taxi for longer distances.
