Le Meridien Palace Hotel ****This genuine historic landmark is situated in the heart of Copenhagen, near the Town Hall Square and opposite one of the oldest amusement parks in the world, the Tivoli Gardens. Le Meridien Palace Hotel offers modern elegance, historic charm and Scandinavian style. The 161 exquisitely appointed guest rooms are individually designed and tastefully furnished in using earthy tones. The hotel restaurant Brasserie on the square is inspired by French tradition and gives breathtaking views across some of Copenhagen’s most famous landmarks. The Palace Bar offers an intimate atmosphere and is frequented by both guests and locals. Brasserie on the Square has a great view over the Town Hall Square. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All older children or adults are charged DKK 300.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included. City/tourist tax is not applicable. Internet: Internet via modem is available in the hotel rooms and costs DKK 200.00 per 24 hours. Meal Plan: Buffet breakfast is not included and costs DKK 185.00 per person. Parking: No parking available. Pets: Pets are not allowed. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival. At present the hotel is going through a total renovation which is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2008. So far 125 new rooms and 4 suites and the lobby/front desk have been completed. The bar will be completed by the end of August. Air-conditioning will be available in all rooms, but will not be connected until all rooms are ready. High-speed internet access is available in all new rooms. The distance to Copenhagen Airport is 7 km (15 minutes in a taxi), the Airport Terminal with busses to/from the airport is at the Main Railway Station 400 metres from the hotel.
