This historic national monument is the third oldest house in Montagu and displays traditional touches such as wooden ceilings, hand-blown glass and 155 year old window shutters. Montagu is a historic town along the famous Route 62. It was named after John Montagu, Colonial Secretary of the Cape from 1843. The road from Cape Town, 2 hours away, to Port Elizabeth is known as the "longest wine route in the world."
