Hotel Café Restaurant Zalen Hoogeerd is situated in a peaceful and rural location, beside the River Maas. Its guest rooms are well-furnished and comfortable, with lovely countryside views. Guests are invited to sample the traditional Dutch cuisine and à la carte menu that is served in the hotel’s charming restaurant. During sunny weather, the patio doors of the restaurant are opened to create a terrace-style atmosphere. There is also a large function room available that is versatile enough to accommodate most types of events. Guests have free use of the small fitness room and infrared cabin. The hotel is a great base for guests to explore the Dutch countryside and they can rent a bike from the hotel, to experience this in traditional Dutch style. For a cup of coffee or a Dutch beer you are welcomed from 08.00 till 01.00 hours in either our Dutch pub or our restaurant, both with panoramic view on the River Maas. Breakfast is served from 06.30 till 10.00 on workingday`s, in the weekends from 08.00 till 10.30 hours. From 10.00/ 10.30 we serve several kinds of pastries. Lunch is served from 12.00 till 17.00 hours, we have a special lunch menu which offers sandwiches, salads, egg dishes, plate-service and desserts. Dinner is served from 17.00 till 21.30 hours. We offer a day-menu, which is a three course menu that changes daily, a menu of the month, also a three course dinner, and you can dine à la carte, on our menu you will find cold and warm appetizers, soups, dishes of fish and meat and also vegetarian dishes, and ice and fruit desserts. Travel / Location: Hoogeerd is easy to reach by taking the highway A326 to Nijmegen- `s-Hertogenbosch, exit Niftrik, or by taking the highway A50 `s-Hertogenbosch-Arnhem, exit Wijchen and followed by Niftrik. From Maastricht and Venlo: Highway A73 direction Nijmegen, exit Wijchen, `s-Hertogenbosch (A326), followed by exit Niftrik/Bergharen/Grave. From Amsterdam and Utrecht: Highway A12, direction Arnhem/Nijmegen, where you follow the highway A50 direction `s-Hertogenbosch, exit Wijchen (A326) followed by exit Niftrik/Bergharen/Grave. From Germany through Nijmegen: Keizer Karel square (round-about) exit `s-Hertogenbosch. Straight through at the "Graafseweg" then the A326, then exit Niftrik/Grave/Bergharen. Hotel Restaurant Hoogeerd is situated in the Land of the rivers Maas and Waal, a new tourist area. The Land of Maas and Waal has a lot to offer its guests; walking, biking, riding, sailing and even roller blading, different routes for those activities are available at our reception. The Hotel and restaurant itself are build against a dike that seperates the River Maas from the farm land and offers a beautiful view on this river, her green shores and water activities.
